Hi! I'm Yilin Zhu.
I am interested in economic sociology and organizational sociology with an empirical focus on the rise of the digital financial services market. Specifically, I research 1) how state and market actors interact to shape institutional evolution in the new financial market; and 2) how novel forms of organizations develop in the new financial market.
As a mixed-methods researcher, I leverage both qualitative and computational research methods to analyze these questions.
I graduated from the University of Chicago in 2021 with a master's degree in sociology.
